Bodega Sur is an extension of El Mercado and the Tango Sur family. We offer an extensive selection of South American wines for retail, as well as some other varieties from around the globe. We are also offering Argentine fair for Lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends. Complete with a bar/barista offering coffee drinks and cocktails.

HISTORY

Established in 2016.

The Di Sapio family have been sharing Argentine culinary traditions in Chicago for 27 years beginning with the butcher shop (El Mercado) a couple doors down, to the adjacent Tango Sur, Ñ (bar n), and Folklore. We now embark on a new endeavor as we present yet another expression of Argentine gastronomic culture.

Meet the Business Owner

"I wanted to continue to bring Argentine culinary culture to Chicago and expand the company brand. Tango Sur, a couple doors down, has become an institution as a neighborhood favorite byob haunt. I thought it only appropriate to open a wine shop specializing in Argentine varieties while also providing our customer base a long awaited lunch spot for Argentine treats."
